Important Coast to Coasters Empty Important Coast to Coasters

Post by Mark ULC Tue Feb 10, 2015 9:42 am

Been communicating with some of the regular C2C ULC participants about the Lambretta Club of Scotland's Celtic coast to coast on the 8 -10th May. We ( Victor and I) propose doing this instead of the LCGB only for the reason of doing something different and we have wanted to tour Scotland. So far Decy, John, Gary, Shane and Debbie plan to do this. So basically it's a done deal. Steelo does this work for you?

I will cancel accommodation this weekend for LCGB as there is a waiting list for.other LCGB members.

Anyone wanting to.join the Scottish run then.post your interest.

John that sounds like a plan.Thursday from Troon up to Fortwilliam area. Friday tour the western isles, down thru the Isle of Mull, to Oban. Saturday Oban to Montrose run. Sunday Montrose to Troon. Home Sunday night. I think the west and isles would be nice to tour. Open to suggestions.

The Scottish 6 Day Trial runs from 4th to the 9th May in Fortwiliam. That would be worth a nosey and I imagine the town be busy. Victor could even enter his scoot.

Ok folks you will need to book and pay for your entry to this run. Go onto the LCS site and book your ticket before the end of March when the LCS closes the ticket sales. Once I know who is in then I will sort accommodation. Plan is the early ferry on Thursday 7th May tootle up the west coast and into Isle of Mull the Friday, then to Oban for the Sat morn start.

Please confirm when you have booked your tickets.

Looks like it's Stranraer ferry though, Troon one only sails at 4pm.

Ok. Time to book ferry and accommodation. Plan is the 0730 Belfast to Cairnryan ferry on the Thursday 7th May. Tour up the west coast, a ferry and up to Oban, 170 leisurely miles. Stay the night in Oban, possible hotel for Friday night do/entertainment. Friday up to Fortwilliam, tootle around a few Isles, Mull etc. Ferry back to Oban. All day touring, max 150 miles. Sat coast to coast. Sunday Montrose to Cairnryan, ferry af 3 ot 7. That's 170 miles to ferry then home. Or home via Troon at 7:30, 40 miles less.

Opinions and confirmation. I will book digs, you book ferry.
